The present invention discloses a portable charger rental method capable of showing an advertisement which uses a means to show an advertisement when charging a portable terminal and advertise a member store during a portable charger renting or returning process to promote business development of the member store or businesses in the vicinity of the member store. The portable charger rental method capable of showing an advertisement according to the present invention comprises: a step of verifying personal information of a user by using a server having a database wherein a unique key of a portable charger to connect to a portable terminal to charge the portable terminal and information about a member store supporting a portable charger rental service are stored; a step of receiving information about a rental store to rent the portable charger from the verified user and verifying whether the portable charger can be rented from the rental store based on the information about the member store; and a step of transferring an advertising means corresponding to the unique key of the portable charger via a charge application installed on a user terminal connected to the portable charger rented from the rental store based on the rental verification.
