The present invention relates to a voltage controlled oscillator. The voltage controlled oscillator includes a first circuit part which includes an LC resonance circuit to oscillate a frequency and an amplification circuit to amplify an oscillating frequency, a second circuit part which includes a circuit which compensates a voltage drop due to a switching resistance element and a circuit which increases the whole transconductance in the connection of the first circuit part, and a switching unit which controls the connection between the first circuit part and the second circuit part. According to the present invention, provided is the wideband voltage controlled oscillator to increase a frequency band.
