<p>Described herein is a method for operating a valve (100) that is activated by an actuator (102, 104), in particular an injection valve (100) of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. The method includes actuating the actuator (102, 104) by an actuation signal (I) characterizing a desired opening time(Top*) of the valve (100); and correcting the actuation signal (I) characterizing the desired opening time (Top*), based on a valve delay time (t11, t2) in order to obtain a corrected actuation signal (Ikorr) for actuating the actuator (102, 104), wherein the valve delay time (t11, t2) represents a time difference between the actuation signal (I) and an actual change to an operating state of at least one component of the valve (100), in particular of the valve element (104) of an electromagnetic actuator or a valve needle (116).</p> |
