A battery cell according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly; a pair of electrode leads connected to the electrode assembly and provided with a polarity displaying means disposed on at least one thereof; a pouch case to accommodate the electrode assembly to allow the electrode leads to protrude therefrom to the outside. According to the present invention, a positive polarity and a negative polarity of a battery cell can be identified with a minimal process, and the performance of a secondary battery may not be affected despite the display of polarities.
