According to an embodiment of the present invention, a gesture recognition apparatus comprises: a camera; lighting units; and a control unit for controlling an exposure time of the lighting units and a photographing period of the camera, recognizing a specific part of a user in a photographed image, measuring a gray scale of the recognized specific part, and recognizing a gesture by using a gradient of the measured gray scale data. |
