The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for generating correction data, and a image quality correction system. The method is executed by: detecting brightness of a display panel; determining an irregular area in the display panel for each RGB color based on the detected brightness; generating correction data for the irregular area after determining the screen split size and a correction zone for correcting quality of the display panel based on the irregular area; and then storing the generated correction data. The correction data are stored in a storing unit of a display device, which controls the display panel. The display device corrects quality of the display panel by using the correction data.
