According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing a master link includes: a first step for manufacturing a forged block by forging a predetermined sized base material; a second step for heat-treating and molding the forging block; and a third step for cutting the forged block using water jet to be divided into a first division link part having a first gear formed on one side thereof and a second division link part having a second gear engaged with the first gear. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing a master link can increase productivity of a master link by dividing one forged block into a pair of division link parts using a water jet cutting process and allowing a pair of division link parts to be more precisely engaged even if a part of the forged block is lost in a water jet cutting process by providing a free cutting area between the first and second division link parts. |
