<p>The present invention relates to an X-ray imaging apparatus which first measures, before taking an image, a bone mineral density of an examinee, determines an X-ray irradiation condition, and then irradiates the examinee with X-ray to take an image, thereby minimizing an amount of X-ray irradiation and improving quality of an image. The X-ray imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging unit that includes an X-ray source which irradiates X-ray and an X-ray sensor which detects X-ray irradiated from the X-ray source and passing through an examinee; a bone mineral density measuring unit that measures a bone mineral density of the examinee; and a control unit that controls an irradiation condition of the X-ray source on the basis of a value of the bone mineral density measured by the bone mineral density measuring unit.</p> |
