A gate drive circuit and a display device. The gate drive circuit comprises a shift register (10) formed by a plurality of shift register units connected in sequence, and also comprises a first gating module (20) and/or a second gating module (30), wherein the first gating module (20) is connected to a gate scanning trigger signal line (STV) and a gating signal line (CS0, CS1); and the second gating module (30) is connected to the gating signal line (CS0, CS1). By adding the first gating module (20), which is used for supplying a gate scanning trigger signal on the gate scanning trigger signal line (STV) to a predetermined shift register unit according to a gating signal supplied by the gating signal line (CS0, CS1), and the second gating module (30), which is used for disconnecting the system between the predetermined shift register unit from a previous-level shift register unit thereof according to a gating signal supplied by the gating signal line (CS0, CS1), the shift register is turned off from the predetermined shift register unit, thus realizing that gate signals in sweep-black regions are selectively turned off when a liquid crystal display panel is in a partial display mode, thereby reducing the power consumption of the entire display panel. |
