PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which specifies the "abnormal image" of a printer correctly, even if the image abnormalities are superposed, when acquiring a scan image.SOLUTION: The device includes acquisition means for acquiring the first image data that is obtained by reading a blank paper with reading means, and the second image data that is obtained by reading a chart formed by image formation means with the reading means, and estimation means for estimating the cause of an abnormality occurring in the image formation means, from the feature amount obtained by changing the second image data by using the first image data, and then analyzing the image data thus changed. |
