PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide separation means excellent in separation speed, separation performance, and separation selectivity, high in oxidation-reduction activity, excellent in heat resistance and chemical stability, and also suited for continuous use. ! SOLUTION: A column packing material comprising porous carbon monoliths and exhibiting an oxidation-reduction reaction activity, the porous carbon monoliths each containing reactive groups on a surface of the carbon monolith, the porous carbon monolith each comprising a skeleton formed by coupling carbon monolith formation materials into a three-dimensional mesh shape, the skeleton including continuous voids, a voidage of the skeleton being 60 to 80%, a surface area of the skeleton being 40 to 350 m2/g, and an average pore diameter of the voids on the surface of the skeleton being 0.2 to 3.5 μm. !
