PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device capable of functioning as an active suspension, low in energy consumption, with simple construction and low costs. ! SOLUTION: In order to address the aforementioned objective, a suspension device S1 of problem solving means in the invention comprises: a cylinder 1; a piston 2 to be movably inserted into the cylinder 1; a damper D1 having a rod 3 inserted movably into the cylinder 1 and connected to the piston 2; an extension side chamber R1 and a pressure side chamber R2 disposed in the damper D1; an attenuation passage 4 and a pump chamber 5 for communicating the extension side chamber R1 and the pressure side chamber R2 in parallel; a resistance element 6 disposed midway of the attenuation passage 4 for applying a resistance to the flow of a passing fluid; and a bi-direction discharge type pump 7 disposed midway of the pump passage 5. !
