This invention provides a sensor device that uses a detection element such as a surface-acoustic-wave element and has a suction mechanism. Said sensor device comprises the following: an inflow section in through which a liquid sample flows; a first cover member; a detection element that comprises an element substrate located on the top surface of the first cover member and a detection unit that is located on the top surface of said element substrate and detects a detection target in the liquid sample; an intermediate cover member that has a first upstream section that is located closer to the inflow section than the detection element is and is located on the top surface of the first cover member; a second cover member that covers the detection element and has a second upstream section that is located closer to the inflow section than the detection element is and is joined to the first cover member and/or the intermediate cover member; and a channel that is enclosed by the intermediate cover member and the second cover member, connects to the inflow section, and extends at least to the detection unit. The contact angle (θ2a) of the liquid sample on the bottom surface of the second upstream section of the second cover member is smaller than the contact angle (θ3) of the liquid sample on the top surface of the detection element. |
