The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purifying catalyst containing C-Fe-Ce, and provides a novel catalyst for exhaust gas having durability with respect to wide temperature changes. Proposed is an exhaust gas purifying catalyst that has a configuration wherein a noble metal is additionally supported by catalyst particles, each of which has a configuration wherein a mixture containing carbon (C), iron (Fe) and cerium (Ce), as well as one or more additional elements selected from among copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn) and manganese (Mn) is supported by an inorganic porous carrier.
