PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the width dimension of a flange part, and to facilitate the welding of a tip of the flange part.SOLUTION: A pair of half-split bodies 16 each formed by a longitudinal curved wall 24 having a cross section curved in a U-shape, and composed of a pair of side wall parts 18, 20 and a bottom wall part 22, is combined so that the respective recesses face each other, front flange parts 26 and rear flange parts 28 projecting outside from opening edges of the recesses are superposed on each other, and tips thereof are welded, to form a hollow pedal arm 10. At the time of the welding, a flat clamp surface 32 formed at the bottom wall part 22 is made to be a clamp part where the front flange parts 26 and the rear flange parts 28 are pinched, thereby making it possible to shorten the width dimension of the rear flange part 28 where a clamp part is not necessary, and a pinching jig can be spaced apart from the tip of the rear flange part 28 to be welded, thus making it possible to facilitate the welding of the rear flange part 28. |
