PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer capable of replacing a probe at an appropriate time by monitoring a state of the probe, the performance of which is deteriorated with the lapse of used days in the automatic analyzer performing dispensation by repeatedly penetrating a plug of a plugged container by the probe with a sharpened tip. ! SOLUTION: An automatic analyzer includes a probe state determination unit having: a probe for sucking a sample from a sample container with a lid; a drive part causing the probe to penetrate through the lid; and penetration performance detection means that detects penetration performance information acquired when the probe penetrates through the lid. The probe state determination unit determines deterioration of the penetration performance of the probe on the basis of the penetration performance information, and determines replacement/non-replacement of the probe. !
