PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot press molding apparatus of a multistage type, which smoothly executes switching of metal molds held in a mold closing state and thereby shortens cycle time. ! SOLUTION: A hot press molding apparatus includes: a stationary die 10; a movable die 20 which is slidable in a mold opening/closing direction relative to the stationary die 10; an intermediate movable die 30 which is disposed between the stationary die 10 and the movable die 20 and is slidable in the mold opening/closing direction; first energization means 40A which can energize the intermediate movable die 30 to a stationary die 10 side; a second energization means 40B which can energize the intermediate movable die 30 to a movable die 20 side; and switching means 50 which switches between an energizing state and a non-energizing state of the first energization means 40A and the second energization means 40B. !
