PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution for improving a lighting device for dentistry. ! SOLUTION: There is provided a lighting device (10) for dental field and which is characterized as follows. The lighting device (10) includes: a hand piece (1) provided with an electronic control unit (7); and an attachable/detachable probe (2) which includes at least one light source (4) arranged at a proximal end having a mechanical and electrical interface (12) with the hand piece (1) and a distal end. The hand piece (1) is configured so as to receive a plurality of various probes which possess suitability. The probe (2) comprises: a temperature sensing element (5) which is arranged in the vicinity of the light source (4); and a discrimination element (6).
