The invention relates to a method for gasifying carbon carriers and for further treating the produced gas. According to the invention, a gasifier is supplied with carbon carriers which are gasified by injecting oxidizing agents. Said produced gas is recovered from the dome of the gasifier, and the hot gas is used as a reducing agent during the production of pig iron or after cooling and cleaning the produced synthesis gas. In the gasifier, a gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen is produced from regenerative carbon carriers, petroleum coke, recycled plastic, waste rubber and/or carbon by adding an oxidizing agent. In order to heat and start the gasifier, a hot oxygen-containing combustion gas is used. The invention also relates to an associated system. |
