摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a magnetic particle flaw detecting apparatus for a steel billet which detects flaws in a long steel billet (10) whose cross section is a square. The magnetic particle flaw detecting apparatus comprises: a guide roller array (114) wherein guide rollers (112) composed of tapered rollers arranged to face each other are aligned in a line, the steel billet (10) is arranged on the guide rollers (112) in a way that the diagonal lines of the square cross section of the steel billet (10) are horizontal and vertical, and the steel billet (10) is transported while each side of the steel billet (10) forms an inclination angle of±45°with a vertical axis line (P) of the magnetic particles flaw detecting apparatus; a magnetic particle liquid spray device (118) disposed on a downstream side of the guide roller array (114) with respect to the moving direction of the steel billet (10) above the guide roller array (114) to spray a fluorescent magnetic particle liquid over the entire surface of the steel billet (10); and a magnetizer disposed on a downstream side of the magnetic particle liquid spray device (118) to magnetize the steel billet (10).</p>
