PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant diagnostic apparatus and a plant diagnostic method capable of improving diagnosis accuracy by conducting a diagnosis corresponding to an operation pattern, and conducting a diagnosis using operation data for a short period.SOLUTION: Provided is a plant diagnostic apparatus including a detection unit diagnosing an operation state of a plant using a measurement signal obtained by measuring a state quantity of the plant, and displaying a diagnosis result on an image display device. The detection unit includes a state-change detection unit detecting a state change using a diagnostic model constructed using data for a predetermined period; and an abnormality detection unit detecting whether abnormality occurs using the diagnostic model constructed using data on an operation pattern identical to that when the state change is detected. |
