1. A system in which a mobile terminal and an image processing apparatus are capable of communicating, the system comprising:
the mobile terminal, which comprises: a transmission unit configured to transmit to the image processing apparatus, using a short-range wireless communication, a start instruction for causing the image processing apparatus to start a read of an image and access information for accessing the mobile terminal; and a publicizing control unit configured to, when job-related information related to a job corresponding to the start instruction is received from the image processing apparatus in response to the start instruction, publicize accessibly a storage area of the mobile terminal designated by the access information, and when the job corresponding to the job-related information completes, make the publicized storage area to be unpublicized, and the image processing apparatus, which comprises: a job-related information notification unit configured to receive the start instruction and the access information transmitted by the transmission unit, to issue the job-related information, and to notify, using the short-range wireless communication, the mobile terminal of the job-related information; a reading unit configured to read an image from an original in accordance with the start instruction; and a storage unit configured to store image data read from the original by the reading unit by accessing, using the access information, which is for accessing the storage area publicized by the publicizing control unit.
