A structure for an underrun protector is provided, which enables weight to be suppressed, and with which strength and rigidity are ensured. This structure for an underrun protector (10) to be attached to left and right brackets on a front section or a rear section of a vehicle-body frame of a vehicle is configured so as to be provided with an outer surface section in a front-rear direction of the vehicle, an inner surface section in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, an upper surface section, and a lower surface section, and so as to have a hollow closed cross section. Weight-reduction holes (51, 52, 53) are formed in the upper surface section and/or the lower surface section of the underrun protector (10). |
