The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for regenerating brain tissue for treating Alzheimer′s dementia comprising Perilla frutescens leaf extracts as an active component. The pharmaceutical composition for regenerating the brain tissue for treating Alzheimer′s dementia comprising the Perilla frutescens leaf extracts as the active component of the present invention uses the extracts extracted from Perilla frutescens which is an edible plant, as an active component to be effective on decomposing a beta-amyloid aggregate which is previously formed as well as on inhibiting a formation of the beta-amyloid aggregate. Therefore, the composition has effects on treating a patient with damaged brain tissue by being previously formed the beta-amyloid aggregate in the brain tissue as well as on preventing Alzheimer′s dementia. In addition, the composition has no side effects or cell toxicity, with the extracts originated from edible natural substances as the active component.
