PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can adjust a gain of received signal without adding a circuit measuring RSSI.SOLUTION: A portable terminal has: an antenna; a communication part which has two modes, an active mode in which the communication part itself outputs a carrier wave and a passive mode which uses a carrier wave outputted by another device, switches the two modes by turns, attempts communication using the antenna by electromagnetic induction and, while communication is established, communicates without switching the modes; an N bit count part which outputs a changing value every unit number every time at least one of the two modes is switched to in the communication part; and a gain change part which changes a gain of a signal which the communication part receives by using the antenna in accordance with a value outputted by the N bit count part. |
