PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a paper roll, which enable manufacture of the paper rolls unifying patterns by putting them in order.SOLUTION: A paper roll 3 is manufactured through the steps of: forming a part 4 subject to printing on a log 2 and forming blank parts 5 at both ends of the part 4 subject to printing; detecting a reference position, in which the part 4 subject to printing is arranged almost in the center of the paper roll 3, by a detector 26; adjusting the amount of delivery of the log 2 by a control device 27 on the basis of the reference position; and cutting the log 2 in the blank part 5. |
