PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a correction method of density unevenness capable of reducing density unevenness due to fluctuation in beam interval of multi-beam. ! SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a beam correction unit which corrects a gradation value of each pixel such that density unevenness due to fluctuation in beam interval is reduced in accordance with the fluctuation in the beam interval of multi-beam; and an image formation unit which scans on a photoreceptor by the multi-beam modulated in accordance with the gradation value of each pixel after correction and performs exposure of a plurality of lines in parallel. Therein, the beam correction unit performs such an interpolation processing as to weight and add the gradation value of each pixel and the gradation value of adjacent pixel located on upper side or lower side in a sub-scanning direction of each pixel respectively, and obtains the gradation value after correction of each pixel. !
