<p>A method and system for processing facial images are disclosed. The method includes obtaining pre-set feature points from an element of a target facial image; and determining a pre-set feature eigenvalue (E) based on the feature points associated with the facial element. The method further includes obtaining a positive eigenvalue (PE) corresponding to a positive sample facial element image; obtaining a negative eigenvalue (NE) corresponding to a negative sample facial element image; determining a standard deviation of the determined eigenvalue associated with the facial element and the positive and negative eigenvalues; and determining a target eigenvalue based on the standard deviation. The method also includes applying a weight factor to the target eigenvalue; determining a result from processing the target facial image based on the weighted eigenvalue; and presenting the result to a user.</p>
