PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system for an engine, for promoting the atomization of injection fuels from injectors disposed in an intake port and a surge tank so that the harmful exhaust gas reductions due to a high mileage and a combustion promotion can be achieved.SOLUTION: A fuel injection system for an engine is characterized by comprising: at least two intake ports 19a and 19b for introducing intake air into the combustion chamber of an engine; surge tanks 15a and 15b disposed individually on the upstream sides of the intake ports 19a and 19b; an intake port injector 23 disposed on one of the intake ports; and a surge tank injector 29 arranged in the surge tank 15b disposed on the upstream side of the other of said intake ports.
