PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate and an illumination device capable of emitting light emitted from a light source and incident on the light guide plate while improving luminance uniformity and emission efficiency on an emission surface.SOLUTION: A light guide plate includes: a first light guide plate 4 of a wedge shape having a first principal flat surface 8A and a second principal flat surface 9A; and a second light guide plate 5 of a wedge shape having a first principal flat surface 8B and a second principal flat surface 9B. Convex portions 11A and 11B are formed on either the first principal flat surfaces 8A and 8B or the second principal flat surfaces 9A and 9B of the respective light guide plates 4 and 5 so as to be higher in arrangement density as being farther from end surfaces 7A and 7B, respectively. The light guide plates 4 and 5 are arranged superimposed such that the second principal flat surfaces 9A and 9B are adjacently opposed to each other. Light diffusion sections 13A and 13B are arranged on peripheral edges 12A and 12B at positions at which the light diffusion sections 13A and 13B do not overlap the light sources 3B and 3A in a superimposition direction of the light guide plates 4 and 5. A reflection surface 6 is arranged outside of the first principal flat surface 8A or 8B of either the first light guide plate 4 or the second light guide plate 5. |
