The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a polymerizable compound suitable as the material of an optically anisotropic body with excellent optical characteristics; a composition containing said polymerizable compound; a polymer obtained by polymerizing said polymerizable compound; an optically anisotropic body configured from said polymer; and a liquid crystal display element provided with said optically anisotropic body.
