<p>The present invention relates to an adaptive detection method of unusual heartbeat in accordance with an R-wave distortion on an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. The present invention comprises the steps of: (a) detecting an R-peak candidate from an ECG signal and detecting an R-peak using a refractory period (RP) based on the kurtosis and potential of the R-peak candidate; (b) when at least one from the potential, the kurtosis, and the RR interval value exceeds the preset threshold value based on the detected R-peak, detecting a waveform including the R-peak as an unusual heartbeat (here, the RR interval indicates a distance between adjacent R-peaks); (c) updating the potential and kurtosis of the R-peaks excluding the detected R-peaks and an average and a standard deviation of an RR interval; and (d) using the updated potential and kurtosis of the R-peaks and the updated average and standard deviation of the RR interval, adaptively varying the threshold value according to the ratio of the whole waveform and the normal waveform, and detecting an unusual heartbeat. Like this, the present invention can provide a stable and high detection rate with a simple method, further improve a calculation speed, and provide a detection method of the unusual heartbeat which can be applied to various applications for a real-time processing. The present invention can also effectively improve the efficiency of time and cost following a detection.</p> |
