<p>The present invention involves rotating an insert on the basis of an angle which is obtained by calculating, on the basis of machining conditions, a rotation angle up to an unusable section when a section of the cutting blade of an insert is no longer suitable for machining due to wear and the like. To this end, this automatic cutting system, which uses an exchangeable insert-type cutting tool, is equipped with: a control means which reads a machining program; a database for storing service life test data and tool data; and an automatic insert rotation device having an insert screw loosening mechanism for loosening a screw holding the insert in the cutting tool, an insert rotation mechanism for rotating the insert, and a control device for controlling the insert screw loosening mechanism and the insert rotation mechanism.</p> |
