PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of correctly detecting a displacement even when a probe is moved.SOLUTION: In order to detect a motion in the Y-direction, two Y-direction ultrasonic images 22 having different time for eight elements in the X-direction are used. Since lines are shifted by the motion in the Y-direction, displacement detection with motion compensation is performed using the detected motion vectors. The processing above is performed for the three elements in the Y-direction. Accordingly, by aggregating the results for the three elements, distortion amount data for one scan line is generated for the X-direction ultrasonic image. For example, this is applicable to an ultrasonic image processing apparatus which uses signals from a probe capturing ultrasonic images to generate and display the ultrasonic images. |
