PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device in which an arc generated between stationary contacts and movable contacts is less likely to contact with a housing container. ! SOLUTION: A contact block 1 includes: stationary terminals 11 having stationary contacts 111; and a movable contact 12 having movable contacts 121 and moving between a first position in which the movable contacts 121 contact with the stationary contacts 111, and a second position in which the movable contacts 121 are away from the stationary contacts 111. A housing container 18 is formed by joining a first member 13 and a second member 17 together and forms a housing space for housing the contact block 1. A pair of standing wall parts 152A, 152A is disposed in the housing space of the housing container 18, and the wall parts are provided at positions which are on both lateral-direction sides of the contact block 1 and which face the joint part of the first member 13 with the second member 17.
