INSERTION AID FOR INSERTING A CATHETER FOR DIABETICS

The present application relates to an insertion aid (100) for inserting a catheter (205) and a sensor wire (210) into a body. A replacement device (200) is arranged in an interchangeable and replaceable manner in an insertion device (800). The replacement device has a main body (201), an insertion needle (203), a catheter (205) and a sensor wire (210). The insertion needle and the catheter are arranged in relation to one another in such a way that the insertion needle is arranged within the catheter and that a tip (102) of the insertion needle protrudes from a proximal end of the catheter along a puncturing direction (103) such that the tip of the insertion needle penetrates the skin when the catheter is inserted along the puncturing direction in order to generate a skin opening through which the catheter can be guided up to a subcutaneous final position. The sensor wire is coupled to the insertion needle in such a way that the sensor wire is arranged in the insertion needle when the catheter is inserted along the puncturing direction and that, when the subcutaneous final position of the catheter is reached, the insertion needle can be withdrawn from the catheter against the puncturing direction and the sensor wire remains in the catheter.
