PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a formed article from a plate using a press and simple constitution.SOLUTION: After an area Ps to be formed into a formed article S, of a plate P is gripped between upper and lower punches (upper die punch 21 and lower die punch 31), the peripheral edge part Pr of the area Ps of the plate P gripped by the upper and lower punches is gripped between upper and lower dice (upper die 22 and lower die 32). After the peripheral edge part Pr gripped by the upper and lower dice is moved in a press direction of the plate P in advance of the area Ps gripped by the upper and lower punches, the area Ps gripped by the upper and lower punches is reciprocated in a press direction while the movement of the peripheral edge part Pr gripped by the upper and lower dice is restricted, so that a formed article S is manufactured from the plate P. |
