A display device comprising: a display panel which includes a data line, and displays an image as exposed to a first direction; a lighting unit which emits light of a first color to a second direction opposite to the first direction; a light control unit which controls the lighting unit, and outputs a luminous source signal based on strength of the light emitted from the lighting unit; a brightness correction unit which corrects brightness of input image data based on the luminous source signal, and outputs a data signal; and a data driving unit which generates a data voltage based on the data signal, and outputs the data voltage to the data line, is provided according to the present invention.
