<p>The present invention relates to a seat belt apparatus for a vehicle and a control method thereof, comprising: a seat belt having webbing and a tongue plate; a retractor wherein the webbing is inserted or withdrawn; a motor mounted inside the retractor and rotationally driven to a normal direction or a reverse direction; a buckle wherein the tongue plate is attached and detached; a control unit outputting a release signal when the buckle is released; an inverter applying a plurality of different pulse-width modulation ratios to the motor when receiving the release signal from the control unit; a sensor unit detecting an output current value outputted when the different pulse-width modulation ratios are applied; and a signal generation unit calculating a target pulse-width modulation ratio to be applied to the motor.</p> |
