The present invention provides a cable-type secondary battery including: an internal electrode that includes an internal current collector and an internal electrode active layer formed to cover the outer surface of the internal current collector; a separation layer that is formed to encircle the outer surface of the internal electrode in order to allow the internal electrode to be inserted therein; an external electrode active material structure that encircles the outer surface of the separation layer to allow the separation layer to be inserted therein, and includes a porous polymer support body and an external electrode active material layer formed on at least one from an upper side and a lower side of the porous polymer support body; and an external electrode that includes an external current collector formed to encircle the external electrode active material structure so as to allow the external electrode active material structure to be inserted therein.
