PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus and a cooling method of a belt-like rubber member that can remove safely and automatically water scale adhered to a surface of a conveyor belt without stopping production and laying a heavy burden on operators.SOLUTION: A cooling apparatus of a belt-like rubber member comprises: a belt conveyor with V crossbars that conveys an extrusion molded belt-like rubber member and has the crossbars of a V shape on the surface; and a shower for spraying cooling water on the belt-like rubber member conveyed by the belt conveyor with the V crossbars. The cooling apparatus of the belt-like rubber member is equipped with a rotary brush that contacts the surface of the return side of the conveyor belt and/or the surface of the conveyor belt at the turnover part from the carrier side to the return side to automatically brush the surface of the conveyor belt. |
