IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a motion blur even of a fast-moving input image in visual tracking in image processing for converting a frame rate of the input image to a higher rate.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: detection means for detecting a motion of an input image in an image; creation means for creating an intermediate image from an N-th frame image and an N+1-th frame image; process means for performing image processing on the intermediate image, to reduce a high frequency component of a spatial frequency; and output means for outputting an image having an input image frame rate increased by inserting the intermediate image subjected to the image processing between the N-th frame image and the N+1-th frame image. The creation means creates the intermediate image in which one of a pixel value of the object and a pixel value of the back ground changes to the other along a direction of the motion detected by the detection means in a motion region which is a region between positions of a boundary between a moving object and a back ground in the N-th frame image and the N+1-th frame image.
