PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a boundary part between a cover and an upper unit, which is capable of suppressing the failure of an image forming unit in a main body part, even when a liquid splashes onto the upper unit.SOLUTION: A loading surface 113 and connection parts 111 and 112 are provided in the upper surface of a cover 117 and an upper wall surface 123 and parts to be connected 121 and 122 are provided in the lower surface of an upper unit 120. In an image forming apparatus 1, a take-out space part 30 which is surrounded by internal wall surfaces 111C and 112C, the loading surface 113, and the upper wall surface 123 and in which a sheet SH can be taken out from a specific direction D1 is formed. The image forming apparatus 1 has boundary parts B1 and B2 which are a part of gaps S1 and S2 between upper surfaces 111U and 112U of the connection parts 111 and 112 and lower surfaces 121D and 122D of the parts to be connected 121 and 122 and can be visually observed from the specific direction D1. In the upper surfaces 111U and 112U, recesses 210 and 220 recessed downwards are formed in positions adjacent to the boundary parts B1 and B2. |
