PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a width-direction warp of a steel plate without requiring much treatment time.SOLUTION: The method for correcting a steel plate related to the present invention is a method for correcting a warp of a steel plate S by utilizing a roller leveller 1 comprising: a plurality of levelling rolls 2U, 2D arranged in a zigzag form in vertical directions along the lengthwise direction of the steel plate; and a wedge 5 capable of adjusting width-direction deflections of the levelling rolls 2U, 2D. The method for correcting a steel plate includes a step of calculating a deflection providing a minimum warp of corrected steel plate S as a proper deflection and controlling the wedge 5 so as to give the calculated proper deflection to the levelling rolls 2U, 2D, thereby giving a flexure strain to the steel plate S in the width-direction. |
