PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce the influence of irregularities on the surface of a sheet on images. ! SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus that includes a transfer unit that transfers, to a sheet, an image developed by supplying a developer to a photoreceptor irradiated with light, and a fixing unit that fixes the image transferred from the transfer unit on the sheet, the image forming apparatus further including a curvature changing unit that can change the curvature of the sheet during at least any one of the transfer by the transfer unit and the fixation by the fixing unit, and a curvature control unit (control unit 800) that controls the change in curvature of the sheet by the curvature changing unit on the basis of the height of irregularities on the surface of the sheet to be fed. !
