This mass spectrometry method uses a mass spectrometry device (2) having mass separation units (231, 234) in front of and behind a collision cell (232) interposed therebetween, the collision cell (232) for splitting ions. A technique for selecting product ions that correspond to precursor ions by performing a product ion scan for precursor ions which are set for a sample, wherein an exclusion range of mass-to-charge ratios is set on the basis of information relating to non-selected ions inputted by a user, and product ions satisfying a predetermined reference are selected within a range of mass-to-charge ratios outside the exclusion range from the product ion spectrum. Through this mass spectrometry method, product ions can be selected which are suitable for measurement of a target compound. |
