The present invention provides a continuously variable transmission mechanism having a new configuration. This continuously variable transmission has: push arms equipped with a power roller and a drive roller; an input-side support frame that supports a support point on each push arm; cam arms having upper and lower cam peaks; an outer-circumferential support frame that supports the cam arms; drive arms equipped with a pawl; and a ring gear having a ratchet mechanism that engages the pawls. This continuously variable transmission mechanism is characterized in that the cam arms can be stored or pushed outward, and their output is one-to-one with the input of the input-side support frame, thereby enabling continuously variable transmission driving. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment this continuously variable transmission is characterized by having an outer cam on the outside of the outer-circumferential support frame, with this outer cam having a cam peak in the direction of the central axis. |
