PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system in which a path on a virtual network can be confirmed.SOLUTION: A network management system has: a plurality of controllers each of which controls a part of a plurality of switches for transferring a packet on a virtual network; and a management device which manages the plurality of controllers. The management device has: a request acquisition section which acquires a request of confirmation for a path on the virtual network; and a notification destination determining section which determines a controller as a notification destination of the request which controls a switch of a transmission source of a path among the plurality of switches.
