PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer that is excellent in developability and fixability (scratch resistance).SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid developer that contains an electrically insulating carrier liquid, binder resin, and colored particles, where the binder resin containing at least a styrene copolymer is dissolved in the carrier liquid, and the colored particles contains encapsulated carbon black in which carbon black, which is pigment, is encapsulated (coated) with a synthetic resin (shelling agent) containing nitrogen, such as a melamine-formaldehyde copolymer and a urea-formaldehyde copolymer. |
