PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing sophorolipid from a substrate with efficiently and a high conversion rate. ! SOLUTION: The method for producing sophorolipid of the invention comprises a step of culturing a sophorolipid-producing microorganism under aerobic conditions in a culture fluid containing a carbon source to obtain sophorolipid, where the cell density (the absorbance at 660 nm) of the sophorolipid-producing microorganism is 100-300, and the oxygen is fed to the culture fluid at a rate of 0.1-0.5 mol/L/hr. !
